Laurie Thomas – Jump Master/Operations Manager
Laurie, or Loz as we know him, is another outdoor enthusiast and spends most his time during the winter on his snowboard. He has been with Highland Fling since Summer 2012 after two years travelling the world.
He has worked his way up the ranks to become Jump Master and Operations Manager after leaving his previous job as a funeral director (yes, you’ve read that correctly).
He allegedly has a girlfriend who no one has ever met and you will probably hear his laugh before you see him.
Gavin Gibson – Senior Jump Master
Gavin is Highland Fling Bungee’s Senior Jump Master and has been with the company since we began. He began his career many years ago in Queenstown New Zealand where he worked for AJ Hackett Bungy.
Gavin has been instrumental for helping with the operational design of both Highland Fling jump sites and all aspects of crew training and development.
Aside from his professional experience Gav likes to think he’s a bit of a dancer and can be seen “cutting some shapes” on deck quite often.
Jason known to some from both site’s as Jas “The Ace” or “Face” Has been with Highland Fling for just over a year and a half. He has over that time worked his way up through the ranks of the bungee and is our latest qualified Jump Master.
As with most of the crew who work for Highland fling Jason is a keen outdoor enthusiast and enjoys to ski, float, climb, Hill walk, Canyoning and of course BUNGEE JUMP!.
Matt Gambles – Jump Master
Matt is Highland Fling Bungee’s resident Yorkshireman he joined Highland Fling at the start and has worked is way up to becoming a Jump Master with the company. Matt is also a qualified raft guide and enjoys many other outdoor activities in his spare time including stand up paddle boarding and surfing.
According to Matt, “If it’s not from Yorkshire it’s”…. let’s just say not quite good enough..
Richard Steel – Jump Master
Rich aka “Ricky” joined Highland Fling at the beginning and is also an experienced Jump Master.
Outside of work Steel, like the rest of the crew is a keen outdoor enthusiast. He is also a martial arts expert and we have had confirmed reports that he is the only man to kill two stones with one bird…
Known to himself as “the man of steel”, known to the crew as “the boy of plastic!”
Stephen Morier – Deck Crew
A.K.A Stevie also joined us when we opened our Titan Crane Urban Bungee site. Stevie has been in the outdoor industry for many years mainly working as a white water raft guide. He also teaches outdoor education at college.
Stevie is the “silver fox” of the Titan crew and as it turns out grey hair really has nothing to do with wisdom..
Stew started his Bungee career in Queenstown New Zealand where worked on all three AJ Hackett jump sites. He joined Highland Fling at the start of 2013 and is currently working his way up to becoming a Jump Master.
Stew has been known for losing things around the office in particular his favourite baseball.. The search continues..
Alanna joined the crew when our Urban Bungee site opened. She is also part of our office staff and you can expect to meet her during your check in if you jump at the Titan Crane.
Alanna loves exotic and pretty scary animals but don’t worry there won’t be any creepy crawlies when you arrive (hopefully).
